About the Program:

If you’re a photographer, you know how important copyright is to your artistic practice. Join Lawyers for the Creative Arts, Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, and the Copyright Claims Board for an informative webinar on copyright that will give you actionable tools to protect your work. 

This webinar will explore the ways in which photographers can protect and defend their rights before the Copyright Claims Board (CCB), the first ever small claims tribunal for copyright disputes. The session will cover some fundamental aspects of copyright law as well as principles and applications specifically for photographers. The discussion will also include some background about the CCB and a summary of how the CCB resolves disputes. Additionally, attendees will be guided through the various tools and services available through the CCB enabling them to effectively navigate copyright-related issues and leverage these resources to protect and advance their creative and legal endeavors. Time will be reserved for questions.
