LCA’s 2026 Annual Benefit Luncheon! This year, we turn our attention to Chicago’s South Side—celebrating the artists, institutions, and communities that have shaped its extraordinary cultural landscape and those building what comes next. Join us at 11:30 a.m. for an informal social half-hour. Lunch and the program begin at noon. We look forward to welcoming you, your colleagues, and friends for an afternoon celebrating Chicago’s creative community, the people and institutions helping to build its cultural future, and a pivotal moment in LCA’s own story. This year’s program will feature conversations with our Distinguished Service to the Arts Award honorees, including Dr. Louise Bernard, Founding Director of the Obama Presidential Center Museum, and Bill Michel and Emily Hooper Lansana of the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts. Together, their work reflects this year’s celebration of what has been built here, who built it, what we inherit, and what we build next—recognizing the South Side as a vital center of artistic innovation, cultural memory, community, and civic life. Those ideas carry special meaning for LCA this year as we celebrate our own moment of transition. After more than a decade of leadership, Executive Director Jan Feldman will retire at the end of 2026, passing the torch to Melissa Gamble, who will lead LCA into its next chapter. As part of the afternoon, Jan will receive the Thomas R. Leavens Award for Distinguished Service to LCA, recognizing his extraordinary commitment to the organization and Illinois’ creative community. The afternoon will also introduce Melissa to the broader LCA community and feature live performances by artists from Chicago’s South Side. This year’s Benefit is therefore both a celebration and a moment of transition: an opportunity to honor the people and institutions whose work we inherit, recognize Jan’s remarkable legacy, and invest in the leadership and programs that will carry LCA forward. We invite you to join us—and, if you are able, to make a gift in honor of Jan’s service and in support of the next chapter of Lawyers for the Creative Arts. Thank You to Our Sponsors!
